Accounting Firm Selects Uptown For New Headquarters

Weaver and Tidwell, a national accounting firm based in Houston, leased 66,000 square feet at Five Post Oak Park, 4400 Post Oak Parkway. By May 2022, the company, which will have signs at the top of the building, will move from 43,000 square feet to Weslayan Tower near Greenway Plaza. CP Group and Rialto Capital recently acquired a 28-story building, 70 percent of which is leased. The Weaver will occupy three floors connected by an internal staircase. The owners are planning to modernize the lobby with a new coffee and restaurant area.

“We are thrilled to relocate Weaver’s headquarters to Five Post Oak Park,” Weaver CEO John McKel said in a statement. “We chose (the building) because of CP Group’s vision of ownership and what it offers to our team members and clients.”

CEG Multifamily acquired the 266-unit Ariza College Station apartments developed by Cypressbrook Co., based in Houston, near Texas A&M University. Brandon Miller and Brad Schaffer of Newmark acted as intermediaries in the deal.

Tiva Technologies sold his property at 23540 Coons Road in Tomball and leased it back to a buyer, Hollister Road Partners. The property has 32,625 square feet of manufacturing space, 5,000 square feet of office space, a tool shop and five and 10 ton cranes. The purchase included roughly two acres of land for future expansion. Nick Spearman from Belvoir Real Estate Group represented the seller.

Sam Patel acquired a 1.6-acre hotel at 9041 Westheimer. Kyle Fisher from Belvoir Real Estate Group represented the seller.

Pelican Builders and financial partner Ranman USA mortgaged land in Hawthorne, a 17-story condominium at 5656 San Felipe. The project team includes Rottet Studio, Kirksey Architecture, Ludlow & Associates Construction, and Douglas Elliman Development Marketing. Acres Capital provided financing for the construction. Eight of the 67 units of the project have already been sold, according to Pelican.

Falls Tech renewed its 8,188 square foot lease at Commerce Park Westchase, at 3698 Westchase Drive. JLL’s Jordan Raney represented the tenant. William Carpenter and Boone Smith of Stream Realty Partners represented Link Industrial’s landlord.

KB Home in the spring began selling homes in Spring Creek, east of Interstate 45 off Cypresswood Drive. KB is the exclusive developer in a community of 70 homes.

Agellan Commercial REIT selected NAI Partners Landlord Services to manage its 1.5 million square foot commercial portfolio in Houston of 12 buildings. The assignment includes the lease of 680,000 square feet of industrial facilities.

Corrosion resistant alloys rented 5,530 square feet of office space at 4424 W. Sam Houston Parkway North. Dan Boyles of NAI Partners represented the tenant. Chip Covill and Cameron Covill of Cushman & Wakefield represented GC Net Lease.

Leaf Home improvements rented 11,938 square feet at 11004 Bay Commerce Drive. Jason Gibbons and Doc Perrier of the Finial Group represented the landlord.
